Microneedling
Microneedling
Tiny controlled micro-injuries stimulate your skin’s natural healing process, boosting collagen and elastin. The result: smoother texture, reduced scars, and a refreshed, youthful glow.
FAQ – Microneedling Problems & Solutions
What skin concerns can microneedling treat?
Microneedling helps reduce fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, stretch marks, and uneven skin texture — making it an excellent option for overall skin rejuvenation.
Is microneedling painful?
The procedure is generally well-tolerated. A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment to ensure your comfort throughout the session.
How long does a microneedling session take?
A typical treatment takes about 30–45 minutes, depending on the area being treated and your specific skin goals.
How soon will I see results?
You may notice a subtle glow within a few days, but the most visible improvements appear after several weeks as new collagen develops and the skin continues to heal and renew.
How many microneedling sessions will I need?
For best results, we usually recommend a series of 3–6 treatments spaced about 4–6 weeks apart. Your dermatologist at AverageDerm will create a plan tailored to your skin’s needs.
Is there any downtime after microneedling?
Downtime is minimal. You may experience mild redness or sensitivity for 24–48 hours, similar to a light sunburn. Most people return to normal activities the next day.
